you'll likely need to reconstruct it (for it to be portable anyway) using _SERVER['PHP_HOST'], _SERVER['PHP_SELF'] and _SERVER['QUERY_STRING']. take a look in your phpinfo() file to see what _SERVER values you have available to you.
