

Panasonic Gobel Indonesia shows its support to success the 26th SEA Games by declaring its sponsorship on the Games.
President of the electronic goods company, Ichiro Suganuma has signed a memorandum of understanding with Rita Subowo, Chairwoman of the Indonesia SEA Games Organizing Committee (Inasoc) on Friday (17/3) at the State Ministry of Youth and Sports office in Jakarta.
The MoU signing was also attended by Minister Andi Mallarangeng and Inasoc Director General Rachmat Gobel.
The sponsorship will be covering financial support and value-in-kind, such as equipments. Panasonic also announced its commitment to raise public awareness to make the Games a success through national campaign programs.
Representing the government, Mr. Mallarangeng expressed his gratitude on a good will shown by Panasonic Gobel Indonesia -the first private sector sponsor- to support the Games.
"I hope Panasonic's step will be followed by other multi-national companies operating in Indonesia to make the Games succeeded," he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Suganuma said Panasonic is proud to participate in the sponsorship.
"I hope Panasonic can be part of the efforts to help boost Indonesian sports development," Mr. Suganuma said.
Mrs. Subowo also showed her gratitude to Panasonic, saying that the company will undoubtedly be part of the Games' success.
As a partner of the International Olympic Committee, Panasonic has been showing its concern on supporting sports development through its sponsorship in both national and international sports events.
