
The Indonesian Sea Games Organizing Committee/INASOC on Monday, April 4th 2011 organized a meeting in Jakarta with several national televesion stations. Besides Ibu Inmas Suryana, President Director of TVRI, the meeting was attended by high officials from private television stations; MNC group, representing RCTI, TPI, Global TV, and MNC TV; Indosiar; AnTV; TVOne, SCTV, and Metro TV.
Amongst topics discussed during the meeting is the implementation of the International Broadcasting Center as one of the many facilities prepared by INASOC for all television stations attending the upcoming 26th SEA Games. The center is expected to be established in Palembang, South Sumatera, and its success is dependent on the effort of all Indonesian television stations.
Chief Executive of INASOC, Mr. Rachmat Gobel said, “It is an honor on our part as the committee to recieve the support of all private television stations in the upcoming 26th SEA GAMES. It is through television bradcastings that the SEA Games sprit is passed on to the whole nation.
“A hand-to-hand cooperation is crucial for the International Broadcasting Center to be able to provide the best services for international television stations. IBC’s success also serves as a paramater – a successful implementation proclaimed by the Government,” says Linda Wahyudi, Chief Media and Broadcast, INASOC.
The 2011 South East Asian Games XXVI will be held in Indonesia (Jakarta and Palembang) from the 11th – the 25th of November 2011. The biennial sports celebration involves 11 countries accross the Southeast Asian region: Brunei Darussalam, the Philipines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, East Timor, and Vietnam.
