BKPM Chief and Governor Visit Jakabaring

According to the Chief of BKPM Gita Wiryawan, accompanied by South Sumatera Govorner H. Alex Nurdin, not many Indonesians are aware that South Sumatera will be hosting the upcoming SEA Games, let alone the South East Asians. Gita and Alex visited the construction site of Jakabiring Sports Complex, Palembang, Saturday (9/4).

Gita believes that the complex will persuade investors to invest in South Sumatera, and there is no reason to think that the province will fail in running the SEA Games. She added that her organization will facilitate collaborations between South Sumatera and international companies involved in sports sponsorships.

To support the collaborations, Gita expects that the Provincal Government of South Sumatera will further publicize its image as the SEA Games XXVI host. One way she suggested was through overseas visits prior to the opening of the Games in November. In addition, this will also allow the Governer to gain international recognition for his efforts and ideas.
