CDM MEETING Discuss the Preparation of SEA Games XXVI

JAKARTA- The Chairman of Sports Delegation (Chef de Mission or CDM) from eleven participating countries of SEA Games XXVI held a meeting at the Ballroom of Hotel Sultan Jakarta on Friday (19/8), to discuss various relation issues concerning the preparation of SEA Games XXVI which is going to be held in Jakarta and South Sumatera on November 11-22.
 
The CDM Meeting is officially opened by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Andi Alfian Mallarangeng on Friday (19/8) morning. The meeting also attended by the Chairman of Indonesian SEA Games Organizing Committee (Inasoc) Rita Subowo who is also the General Chairman of KONI/KOI.

Among the discussed agenda at the said meeting is the construction of the sports venues and athlete villages. Also the transportation, accomodation, catering, Media Press Center (MPC) and International Broadcast Center (IBC).
 
On Thursday (18/8), before attending the meeting, the delegations from the participating countries of SEA Games XXVI visited the sports venues, either in Jakarta or South Sumatera. A number of venues in South Sumatera is still under finishing stage, such as the swimming pool, athletic track and shooting field. Meanwhile the venues in  Jakarta only need some renovation at the available venues such as the Main Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno, Tennis Indoor Stadium and Istora Gelora Bung Karno.

South Sumatera will be the host for athletic, baseball, billiard and snooker, volley (indoor and beach), bridge, chess, shooting, swimming, diving, synchronize swimming, fin swimming, boxing, gymnastics (artistic, rhythmic, aerobic), petanque, roller sport, sepak takraw, softball, tennis and soft tennis, wall climbing, water ski, weightlifting and wrestling.
 
Besides, South Sumatera will be the host for the Opening and Closing Ceremony of SEA Games XXVI that will take place in Jakabaring Stadium, Palembang.

 Meanwhile, Jakarta will be the host for fencing, badminton, basket ball, cycling (track, BMXMTB), bowling, rowing (canoeing and traditional boat race), equestrian, golf, judo, karate, paragliding, archery, pencak silat, swimming (open water) football and futsal, sailing, shorinji kempo, table tennis, taekwondo, vovinam and wushu.
