VENUE

Jakabaring is a multifunctional stadium located in the heart of the city of Palembang, at Captain A Rifai Street. Being the second largest stadium in Indonesia after Bung Karno Sports Stadium, it has the seating capacity of 40,000 which was also recognized as one of the stadiums of international standard.

Jakabaring Stadium was built in 2001, when South Sumatra Province led by Governor Rosihan Arsyad. The stadium is named according to the maritime empire of Srivijaya, based in Palembang and succeeded in unifying the western archipelago in the 7th century until the 12th century.

The advantages of the stadium Jakabaring are as follows :

- Can be used for night game
- Grass exports, minimize risk of injury, good drainage.

The main tribune in the western and eastern (A and B) protected roof supported two arch (arch) steel giant. Stadium roof shape is a symbol of triumph in the field of maritime Srivijaya empire symbolized by the shape of a boat in full sail.
